Disgusted and **********

I was a member of Topmed for almost 20 years and had been loyal paid up member since the 1990's. In December last year our daughter who is epileptic had an incident where she was taken to hospital by ambulance and admitted to casualty, but because she was not admitted to hospital all claims were rejected. She was not admitted to hospital against the doctors wishes in and effort to save costs and get her back to a fami**** environment. In March this year without so much as an e-mail our daughter who is a full time student was changed to an adult dependent. The billing was retrospective and back dated to January an additional cost of R1600. Once I had again supp**** proof of her being a full time student the premium was reduced to the correct amount. When asked about the 3 months of over billing I was told we do not rectify accounts retrospectively, a bit strange considering what had happened in March.

Sorry after 20 years of membership and payment of hundreds of thousands of rands of premiums, if this is the way you treat members, I do not see any value in remaining a member.

Dear Mr Wyborn
I have emailed you directly with regards to this query.
Communication was sent to you on the 29th of October 2015, this informed you that proof of studentship had to be submitted by the end of February 2016, if it is not submitted your child dependant will be billed as an adult dependant from the 1st of March 2016, we also advised that backdated changes will not be accommodated.
Kind regards,
