Dental vs Maxillo Fascial Surgery
<p>HI , I am battling to get authorisation for wisdom teeth removal by a maxillo fascial surgeon as they keep on saying dental in hospital is not covered, but according to us this is maxillo fascial surgery?</p>

With regards to the removal of wisdom teeth, this falls under the inpatient dental benefits, even though the procedure is being done by a maxillo facial surgeon. Unfortunately as per your option selection, there is no benefits for this procedure. The maxillo facial benefit which is available on your option is limited to jaw fractures, con******* deformities and surgical treatment for pathological conditions.

The pathological conditions would be conditions such as a jaw cyst or bacterial infections like cellulites.
