Crown placement payment authorization issue

Good Day<br> <br> My wife recently had a crown placed on an existing implant.<br> The implant was placed years ago by Dr Kruger and does not form part of this claim.<br> <br> However the medical aid does not want to pay Nu Smile Dental for the placement of a crown citing that the code provided was incorrect and indicates towards an implant which is untrue as per letter from dentist who perform the placement of the crown only.<br> <br> However the code as per SADA guidelines 8537 is for a crown placement on top of an implant, and not for the implant itself. (I have the letter from the dentist as proof).<br> <br> I am going to forward the details on to my attorney for advi*****t since my wife <br> is on the Top Med Professional plan which includes payments out of savings up to <br> the amount of R12,000 which covers most of the procedure. The call centre has not been understanding at all in this matter so we are forced to take further steps soon.<br> <br> Kind Regards,<br> Ian Coetzer.
