Bone Marrow Biopsy
Good day,<br> <br> I should have known that something like this would happen where Topmed is involved. WHERE ON EARTH WOULD A BONE MARROW BIOPSY ONLY COST R99???<br> So not only do I have to go through the traumatic experience of the procedure and waiting to find out if I have Lymphoma or not NOW I have to struggle to find the money to pay this lovely amount. <br> <br> Could a medical professional please give me the EXACT lay out of why you are not paying for my bone marrow biopsy...or rather why you are only paying R99 for it and not the R8 900. I need this to be very VERY clearly set out as I am taking this further to the Helo Peter and the ombudsman. <br> <br> Cindy Claassen <br>

As discussed telephonically the full claim was for R8910.60 of which TopMed paid R8894.70. The one item on this claim was for the setting of a sterile tray which the labs charged above Topmed Tariff with R15.90. Only this one item was shortpaid for your Biopsy. The balance of the claim was settled in full.
