Tiaan responded to an enquiry regarding tracing services on behalf of a Body Corporate by assuring payment (R1500) only on successful tracing requiring some 2 to 8 hours of work to trace a Judgment Debtor for whom a partial address, employment details, cell number etc, was provided. Payment was called for by Tiaan to start the search. By some 7 days later Tiaan was not responding to calls or mails & it was necessary to draw to his attention that failure to respond was a potential *****. A week or so later he merely added a suburb to the partial address. As there are no street names corresponding to that suburb Tiaan was approached to provide some basis for his finding to which he didn't respond. He was told that if he didn't do so a negative report would be made. It has now emerged, as we suspected, the debtor is not living in the suburb provided by Tiaan, so our suspicion of a thumb suck was well founded. A similar negative report was made on this Company by Jomare N in July 24 which was unfortunately not seen by us at the time. Based on Jomare's experience and ours subsequently, we would suggest that anyone would be ill advised to contract this Company & certainly not to agree to pay for their services unless they have received and confirmed as correct the information they are seeking.
