Should it take this long?

<p>Our car was taken to their workshop during the last week of December 2016 with a damaged gearbox. They're the specialists, apparently. All gearbox problems end up with them, I am told (by them).</p> <p>I was informed on Friday 13th January that the car will be ready Tuesday/Wednesday.</p> <p>Friday 20th January the car was still not ready.</p> <p>I've been a few times to see what progress has been made, and I see the car parked in its usual spot in their workshop. Once I was told that the car should be ready, and when I went to fetch it, the car was in its usual spot with the bonnet open.</p> <p>They're very friendly and nice people. They're even prepared to deliver the car 30km away. But when you approach them on the date they committed to, the car is not ready and there's another problem.</p> <p>I don't know if I can trust them any more, which is a shame because they're such nice guys.</p>
