Top Carpet Herm**** - Poor Workmanship

Top Carpets Herm****. We purchased a premium priced carpet from them, so much that the Sales Rep says it is the best! On the installation day, I catch them cutting the carpet on the street outside, with mud and dust all around. Then after installation, they left the site and I instantly saw where the two carpets pieces join. The installation was in a rush and they took no time to manage the seam joint correctly. I get told by the Sales Rep, that that is normal and is how they do it !!??? What!!! This is not the first time we install carpets in a house - I told them to sing that song to someone else, and not try sugar coat their poor workmanship. They returned last week to try fix the problem , but it is bad to worse. When I told the Rep that they cut the carpet skew and left too little to overlap the joint, he did not answer and kept quiet. I reported this matter to Top Carpets Head Office in KZN, and to date have only received an email to say they shall revert . Still waiting, as we are too for the owner of the Herm**** franchise. All seem to be MIA. It is sad when contractors try a rub off their poor workmanship, as the norm.
