Tomtom touch terrible straps that dont last

I purchased a TomTom TOUCH fitness tracker for R1700 last year this time. The watch strap has broken twice already and I am trying to get in touch with someone at Tomtom. I wish I had rather bought a different name brand. I thought Tomtom was a leading brand but clearly I was mistaken. There website is horrible. I tried to do a live chat but it doesn't connect. If I call there number ********** 670 its a machine which tells you to do a live chat....... What a waste of money. The tracking device is good but the straps are expensive to replace. When I went to sportsmans wharehouse they told me that I would be lucky if anyone responds to me at Tomtom as they no longer stock tomtom devices due to bad quality and support.
