Poor watch gps a bad buy!

I have had a ton Tom runner model 8RS00 for approx 2 years for now the main reason that I bought it was to get my running pace during marothons that I do on a monthly basis. As long as I had the quick gps set I never really had a issuer with it. If quick gps was set it would take not more than 5 mins to be ready. Till the most recent run that I did. Where I had quick god downloaded. 10 min before the start of the run I turned the watch on the desired mode required. Where it stayed on please wait. The watch wasn’t picking up a god fix. 5 min before the race starts still nothing 10 sec to the start still nothing. The watch only picked up a gps spot and ready to start Aprox. 37 miniutes into the run approx 7km. Have been considering I’ln getting a upgrade on the Tom Tom Runner cardio 3. Now having s coins thoughts wheather or not I should get the watch anymore. Not to mention the god signal on one of the runs all of sudden pick me running in the ocean for a good few km. Had to stop and restart the tracking in the middle of the race.
