Lifetime Maps activated 8 months later

We bought a TomTom Start 25 in the middle of last year with the guarantee of free lifetime map upgrades. I didn't try to update the map until a few days ago. I then discovered that lifetime maps were not active. I logged on to the TomTom website to complain, and was told that we were supposed to register within 30 days of purchase to qualify for the free upgrades. I thought I had done that immediately after purchase (the maps were up to date at the time), but obviously slipped up somehow. Their online Customer Service (Vicky D from the UK) were extremely polite, helpful and friendly, and simple requested a copy of the original till slip. I did this the next day, and they once again shone by activating the lifetime map offer for us the same day. Their response was swift, friendly, and definitely went the extra mile. Thank you SO much!
