How not to handle customer service
I have often been fond of the idea of sports watches, however, after receiving this TomTom Runner 3 I was blown away with the features of this watch. Sadly, 5 months after purchasing the watch the strap spontaneously snapped off. After contacting customer support I received a new strap free of charge within 3 working days. Very efficient. After this I had no problems with the watch and decided to get my Fiance, Mother-in-law-to-be and Father-in-law-to-be the same TomTom Runner 3.
I had noticed after getting the watch for my Fiance that her watch did not have the "stary night" effect that my watch had began to show. I immediately sent the watch back to TomTom on the 14th of November. Shortly after sending it back I received an email saying that a new watch would be sent to me within 5-10 working days of that email. After the next few weeks I waited patiently with no reply from TomTom. I phoned their customer support branch on the 24th of November to ask if there were any updates regarding my repair. The answer I received was that they had no stock but were expecting stock in the next week. So after a week had passed I phoned back and got the exact same answer. This followed for the next 3 weeks. Each week phoning in and getting the exact same answer. I am writing this on the 2nd of January with no update from TomTom to date and apparently all my queries have been resolved according to them. I still have not received my watch back which I have paid for.
Hopefully by writing this I will be able to appeal to someone at TomTom to resolve my issue.
