Good day Mr Wessels,
As per our numerous discussions, you purchased your device in December and the device was initially reported with a fault in March as per your telephonic discussion with us on 28/07/2016, you are past the cooling off period refunds are within 7 days of purchase not 6 months post purchase. We are doing our very best to assist you but it would seem that you are not satisfied in spite of our efforts. You claimed the devices was defective, again you did not bring this back within 7 working days, and thus as per our policies we are obliged to take the device back and either repair or replace the device. We have done so.
We have reviewed you image comparison, we have noted your Hello Peter Complaint we have also noted your Phone Calls, many Whats APP's to the sales attendant at Cape Union Mart Kalahari Mall coupled with your many Whats Apps to our representative as well as your email. We also note no response to our email of 29/07/2016 .
Please note you cannot assume that the TomTom, when compared with the Polar Device is the less effective unit nor is this comparison grounds for assumption that the TomTom device is defective.
As per the CPA we are not obligated to refund your money this far down the road we are however obliged to ensure the device works correctly.
Please contact the TomTom customer Support Number ********** 671, they will collect the device, for free, from a suitable location, they will take it back, your new unit will be retest. I will request a report from them and we can then either replace the device again or confirm that the issue does not lie with the TomTom.
As per the mail to you of 29/07/2016, have you connected the device to TomTom My Sport to ensure you have the latest software?
Regards
Team TomTom

REVIEWS ON INTERNET ON THE CARDIO I WILL NOT STOP THERE IS A LOT OF BAD REVIEWS ON THIS SENSOR PROBLEM AN BEST OF IT IS THERE ARE A LOT OF GOOD COMMENTS ON POLAR
I just finished my 10th run with the Runner Cardio. So far my watch has failed me 50% of the time. 5 out of 10 times I have either lost GPS signal, meaning my distance stopped recording, or my heart rate was all over the place. The first day I ran with it, it worked flawless. I was very pleased. The following day, both my heart rate & distance were off. Unfortunately, I chalked that particular run up to operator error & deleted it from my activity detail page. My next 2 runs wearing it were flawless. I then wore it for a 10 miler & my heart rate function failed miserably. My heart rate ranged from 0 to 190's. I was actually running at somewhere around 135 beats per minute. The following day, my heart rate was all over the place once again instead of the 135bpm or so I was actually running at. It was at that point that I started scouring the help forum for similar issues. I noticed that someone with similar problems was advised to wear the watch tight enough so that no outside light could get in around the sensor. I tried wearing the watch tighter & for the next two runs (both 6 milers) the watch worked fine. This morning I ran a 10 miler & both my distance and heart rate failed. On a least 2 points during the 10 miles, my distance function failed to increase. My heart rate was off several times. I recall one point where it fluctuated between 140 beats & 118 beats in a matter of a few strides (it was a base level training run, I didn't pick up the pace). When I finished the 10 miles my distance reading on the watch showed 9.39 miles. I should note that this is a long time run, wheel measured accurate 10 mile course. The same course that I ran with my Tom Tom a week ago & got an accurate 10 mile reading that time. Today's run gave me an elevation gain of 1109 feet! Last weeks run on the same course gave me an elevation gain of 371 feet.
I have looked at the online instructions (not included with the product) & looked at forums several times & followed the suggestions: making sure the sensor is facing upward, keeping the watch below the wrist bone, making sure is worn tightly enough to keep outside light from reaching the sensor. I am frustrated & disappointed. A 50% accuracy rate is unacceptable.
