Extremely poor quality wristbands for Sport Watches

I originally bought a Tomtom sportswatch about 2 years ago. Within a few months, the wristband completely disintegrated. I was told that this specific brand of wristband was no longer manufactured and thus I was forced to buy a brand new Runner 3 watch, only because the other wristbands were no longer made. Unfortunately, 8 months after buying my brand new watch, its wristband is also tearing and falling apart. I am not willing to pay R400+ for a wristband 8 months after buying my second watch. I am really disappointed with this product. I would not recommend it to anyone unless they plan on paying R400+ every few months for new wristbands.
