Pool let down

I'm sad to report this. I share it as a cautionary. I met Errol at a hardware store while bewailing my pool problems. He introduced himself saying he had a company, Tommy Pools (of which there is no sign on internet), and gave me his contact number. I called him. He did some drain unblocking and pool servicing work at one property and remarbelited and serviced a pool at another property. Besides the first EFT payment, he would accept cash only. Despite promises, he has provided no invoices or receipts. On the first property, the "unblocked" drain is still blocked and he has not provided a promised weir cover. At the second property, the marbelite starting falling off after about two weeks, despite promises he has not provided a globe for the pool light and the pool motor is still not working. Repeated phone messages over the last five or six weeks or so have not been responded to. All the work has been paid for - my mistake. What the meaning is of all this I don't know. But I share this just in case. I hope I'll yet be proved wrong.
