Terrible Mechanism for Cups, Etc.

<p>As a mother, I have done so many researches about sippy cup, straw cups that are best for toddlers. After my researches, I was convinced by Tommee Tippee. However, not only once but twice was I left very disappointed.</p> <p><br />The non-spill mechanism of the sippy cup makes it difficult to get cleaned and no matter what you do, the residue of the previous drink stays inside it. I tried opening it but it looks like it would break ifI force it. I can only detach it from the spout but the mechanism itself cannot be opened, causing it to turn yellowish from drinks residues overtime. I even try to drink from it to test what my toddler is drinking the first time I put liquid in it and yes, I could still taste the drink from the previous day. I am quite a meticulous mother when it comes to cleanliness of what my toddler drinks and what she drinks from (who is not!) and that drink from theprevious day already tastes horrible. I am alarmed my child could have drank these already in the past!</p> <p> </p> <p>Another is the cup with the pop-up straw (I bought this before the sippy cup actually... I never learned, eh!), which the first time we got, never popped up at all. But we gave it a chance, tried to use it again and again... and again and again, the straw never popped up.. we needed to use our finger to get it topop up. BUt my goodness, there were times that even did not work. We resorted to a plastic tweezer to get it out. Eventually, it never worked at all! We even cut the straw literally to get it out. Like the sippy cup, the non-spill mechanism isalso terrible. It sat in my cupboard for a year...And yet, we still bought a sippy cup of TT, thinking it might be different. But oh well. Just as terrible.</p> <p> </p> <p>Both products we bought from DisChem Park Meadows... The one with the straw in 2014, the sippy cup in 2015.</p> <p> </p> <p>It is just a terrible experience. What a mission. And a waste of money.</p>
