Beyond bad service, non delivery and *********

<p>To say that my experience with was horrible is an understatement. My experience with Tokkie began in early February 2017, when I was looking for someone to do some work on shoes for me. I came across Tokkie and Toffie tailors on gumtree. From the many, many ads he posts on gumtree, he seemed legit and competent. Unfortunately, what I did not realise was that the majority of pictures he posts are not from his own shop or his own work (which should have been warning sign #1). I met with him on 18 February 2017, took the time to explain what I needed done, selected fabric and paid a deposit of R200. He indicated that it would take a week to do. On the 23 February, I wrote to him a week later saying that I would be in Pretoria and could pick it up. No reply. On the 6 March, I write to him once again for an update and receive no reply. I then receive an email at the end of March, stating that my shoes are ready to collect and that it took long because they moved shop. I go to the shop (new location) and a lady helps me saying my shoes had to be sent to a factory for what she called finishing. I follow up again and still nothing. Now in April, I follow up again and this time I am beyond frustrated with the shoddy service. I message him and we get into a very heated argument and I let him know what an ********* and unprofessional person he is. I said I paid a deposit, followed up etc and still nothing. He says they had to move shop - I reply saying that he keeps using this as an excuse. Then it turns out he didn't know where my shoes were, and then later located my shoes after I said I would open a case of theft and *****. Starts shouting at me and saying my shoes are here what more do I want. In the end, this man took my money and did absolutely no work on my shoes and made it appear as though I am a problem for wanting the service he promised in person and via the many, many ads he posts on gumtree. In the end, he gave my money back and shoes that had not been touched. What a waste of my time! The last straw and what prompted me to do this review is that, despite this pathetic behaviour, he continued to send me whatsapps of services until I asked him to remove me from his ******* mailing list of services that from my experience do not exist. </p>
