Renault "Buyers Remorse"
I purchased a brand new 2014 Renault Sandero Stepway 900t. At just 31000 km I started experiences problems with the A/C unit. It would cut out for no apparent reason. This was the start of my problems. Endless booth rattle that they never sorted out. Eventually they had to repair the A/C switch it was apparently faulty. Next problem was the driver's side door lock and then bluetooth. I can dial and receive calls, hear the person on the other end but when i speak they cannot hear me. Vehicle has been in twice and still they have not fixed the problem with the bluetooth. The driver's side door lock system had to be replaced. At 75000 km the vehicle has developed a water leak. When I confronted the service Manager today at 07:45 on the 21 November 2018 he was most unhelpful. His stance became defensive and his remark I quote was "What do you expect me to do?" unquote. I would not advise anybody to purchase a Renault Product. My wife has a 2003 clio and it also has a serious oil and water leak. Either they are using inferior gaskets or the cars just cannot handle the South African conditions. Think back to the VW mark ones and the early Mercs that had problems with their cooling systems and ironically the Dacia which is what the Sandero and Dusters are......Dacia's.
Against my better judgement and advice from friends I purchased a Renault believing that they had sorted out all the problems with their product and after sales service. Ever heard of "buyers remorse" ? I have it
