Very poor and bad service
Good day.
I write this mail in connection with and due to very poor / no planning and respect which led to a very high level of frustration, loss of income and an increase of expenses. I cc all of the Specialist Team members.
The story in short is as follows...
I first made contact with TAC on 11 August 2020 regarding a vehicle I wanted to be transported from Cape Town to Welkom. Simone was the communication person who communicated with me. The plan has changed and I asked for a new quote for a vehicle from Modimolle (Nylstroom) to Welkom in the Free State.
I then filled in all documentation and made the payment on 17 August 2020. I send the proof of payment and all documentation. On 18 August 2020 Simone told me that she received all documentation and she will plan my vehicle and will let me know when the vehicle will be collected. On 19 August 2020 at 10:26 Simone called me and told me the following, the driver wants to collect my vehicle and he will be on the road any time from 11:00, I can expect him from 11:00. I told Simone that I`m 100 kilometres away from Modimolle busy working and I thought that I will at least be notified one day in advance for the collection of my vehicle. Simone's response was that they have a truck available in the area. I told Simone I will then make a plan. At 10:39 I called Simone back to say I will be back in Modimolle at 12:00. Simone responded and said to me only at 12:00 which I responded to say yes. I left my workplace and 3 of my personnel on site and drove back to Modimolle. I arrived back in Modimolle at 12:00 and called Simone at 12:05, Simone did not answer my call and sent me a message to say she is in a meeting. At 12:11 I rep**** and asked for the number of the driver so that I can make contact with him, well I never received the number. I told Simone that I still need to drive back the 100 kilometers and continue with my work. I was just ignored.
From 12:11 I then made contact with Rode after none of my calls or messages were answered by Simone. Rhode made contact with me at 12:48 and told me she will find out what is going on. New information was shared with me that the driver is stuck in mud. At 13:28 I called again the office number and Simone answered, she then told me the same story and asked if I will be available at 15:45 then the driver will be in Modimolle. So now nothing made any sense anymore to me. From the driver that is in Modimolle to being stuck in mud and then will collect my vehicle at 15:45. I spoke then to Collin and explained the story, he said he will phone me back, well I'm still waiting for his call.
Marius called me at 14:26 and shared with me that the driver is stuck in Tzaneen. Marius also apologised for the situation and told me the driver will call me and will be in Modimolle around 16:00. From 16:00 i heard nothing from no one. At 16:31 it was the first time that Calven the driver made contact with me and told me he loaded a vehicle in Mokopane and he is on his way. I told him to drive safely and to let me know when he is in Modimolle. At 17:44 Calven made contact, I collected him and took him to the place were we loaded the vehicle.I asked Calven his side of the story, Calven shared with me that by 12:00 he was still in Tzaneen stuck with the truck. So how can Simone make any arrangements with me to be in Modimolle at 12:00 if the truck is still stuck in Tzaneen which is 241 kilometres away from Modimolle knowing I'm 100 kilometers away from Modimolle busy working. Calven told me he is going to Lephalale and the he will leave back to JHB the next day going through Modimolle again. At 18:16 the vehicle was loaded and Calven left to Lephalale.
By reading this I'm sure all can see that no proper professional planning was done what so ever. If proper planning was done Simone was suppose to call me on 19 August 2020 like she did and tell me that on the 20th August 2020 the next day, the driver will pick up my vehicle. Calven did go trough Modimolle today (20 August 2020) at 11:30. I could have made arrangements to make sure all is in order for my vehicle to be collected. Just have a look at the time difference when my vehicle was loaded and what time it could have been done the next day and how easy it could have been. But no, I rushed back to Modimolle at 10:39, left my work and people on site only for my vehicle to be loaded at 18:16 the evening. Proper planning would have been for Simone to call me one day in advance telling me my vehicle will be collected the next day, from Mokopane Calven could have drove straight to Lephalale trough Marken witch is much shorter than to drive trough Modimolle. From Lepahala Calven could have drove trough Modimolle like he did at 11:30 today, collecting my vehicle and get on the N1 back to JHB. So because of the planning TAC lost money and have a unhappy client. Calven would have arrived in Lephalale at around 18:00 and saved around 80 unnecessary kilometres. Im almost sure Calven only reached Lephalale at around 21:00 being the whole day on the rode.
This is the story. I'm not happy at all. Till today I did not even get any apology from Simone. All my calls is recorder and will be made available on request. Rhode does have some of the recording.
I want to be refunded by TAC or Simone for my loss of income and expenses together wit a written apology. I send my vehicle back to collect my people witch resulted in a additional 200 kilometre and myself has lost 5 hours of working time. Below is my expenses and losses for the day. I'm a Electrician of Trade
I will not recoment this company to any one.
