Shoddy & unprofessional work.

I contracted Charles Lourens at TMM Renovations to renovate 2 bathrooms, paint the house and complete various smaller renovation tasks. I believe his A-Team was working on another job at the time, and his D-Team working at my property. On closer inspection of work in progress, I noticed several serious issues with his work, including: - Plumbing leaks, toilets not installed correctly - Bath not installed correctly (verified by 3 independent plumbers) - Shower not installed correctly (verified by 3 independent plumbers) - Paint peeling off the walls, doors and window frames - Showerhead installed at the right height - Substandard tiling - Substandard plastering and skimming When I sent TMM (Charles Lourens) an email detailing my concerns, he said he "Will reply when I'm not so upset" - not the response you would expect from a professional adult. The next day he collected his tools and walked off the job, leaving me out of pocket, with problems that needed to be re-done and fixed at my expense. Charles was not present and supervising the work being done, and actually just didn't care. Also interesting to note that he didn't employ a qualified plumber to carry out the plumbing work. The entire job was rushed, and the quality of the work carried out was very poor. Do not waste you money, avoid at all costs.
