TLS Gas & Maintenance – great service, great products and 56% saving on monthly electricity bill after installation of a gas stove and gas geyser.

I specifically want to compliment Etienne from TLS Gas & Maintenance for his great service, when he supp**** and installed our gas geyser and gas stove. He has really gone the extra mile, with his installation and after sales advice. The installation of the gas stove and gas geyser gives us a monthly saving of 56 % on our electricity bill.

I want to advice each South African household to at least buy a gas stove and a gas geyser or even a solar geyser - an electric stove really consumes a lot of electricity. You can then also buy a kettle for your gas stove and eliminate the use of an electric kettle. An electric stove, kettle and microwave oven consumes the most electricity in a household, but especially an electric stove. If each SA household can install a gas stove and gas geyser and also save 56 % on their monthly electricity bill, it in turn means that you are only 46 % dependant on Eskom electricity. The 56% saving is based on 3 people in our household, so the percentage will differ per family. I also think that it must become a law in South Africa that the electric stove suppliers/manufacturers must be forced to sell gas stoves only. Many other countries have been using gas stoves for a long time and we never hear that they have electricity shortages

The gas fridges and freezers that are currently available consumes a lot of gas, so it is not yet a viable option in SA, except if there is a gas fridge supplier that has a unique product, that I don’t know about. We have solar fridges available in SA but they are very expensive.

So rather just take the money you save on electricity when installing your gas stove and geyser and put it away towards your solar system that can run the remaining appliances in your home.

So, I want to compliment all the other gas and solar appliance suppliers and installers that are helping to solve SA’s energy problem.
