My R300 000 home upgrade turned into a nightmare when Archie Jordan, picked up local builders standing next to the street, to work in my home. He did not have the team in his business that he pretended to have. My sliding door is leaking to such an extent that I have to do a full replacement. The rhinolighting on the roof was done without replacing the ceiling panels, (even after I asked numerous times if it should not be replaced with the new rhinolite). Now the ceiling is sagging in places. They raised the living room floor, subsequently they had to raise the fireplace. The roof is now leaking where they raised the fireplace. They installed a new bathroom. The window was redone twice and does not close properly. The rain leaks into the roof and behind the tiles, so I have to get another builder to fix this. The newly installed bathroom sink was leaking at the plumbing section. They messed silicone on my new sinks and didnt bother to remove it. They installed a barn door without a guide. They drilled a hole into my expensive bathroom wall tiles, and didnt bother to replace that tile. They installed it with a hole in it. They welded a railing outside my pool area, over brand new tiles, scorching the tiles with the metal that drips during welding. They damaged my pool filter during the plumbing for the new bathroom, causing me to have to buy a new pool filter. They had to redo plastering and painting numerous times due to poor work quality. The metal strips between the vinyl floors and the tiles, came loose in the first week after leaving. The tiling at the sliding door had to be redone 3 times at my expense. The railing is not even bolted down everywhere. The brand new tiles on the new steps are already cracking. Their plaster work is terrible. The roof is leaking in 3 places. Even though there was someone available onsite every day, they sat under the lapa and didnt bother to check the quality of the workmanship. When I complained and gave advice, I was told that I was telling him how to do his job. Due to them damaging the pool filter and pool plumbing, my pool filtration system could not work for 11 weeks. During this time the lining of my pool was damaged. Eventually I got another pool company to fix the filter and clean the pool. We even found metal shavings from the new railing, in the pool.

Do not do business with Archie Jordan, Interia Sohpistica or Titan Home Upgrades. They make promises they cannot keep, they take on work they cannot complete, they pretend to have knowledge that they don't have, including being registered with the NHBRC. Eventually, they will ghost you, not complete the work, because they cannot face you and have run out of funds. They also dont have insurance, which I should have checked beforehand. Learn form my mistake. They work throughout Gauteng and surrounding areas. (I am in the West Rand)
