CANCELLATION OF SUBSCRIPTION

Some years ago' I subscribed to the delivery of the Sunday Times to my home. This continued for about two years. During 2011/2012 I received a notice informing me about the discontinuation of the home deliveries of the said paper. The debit order for the subscription was never cancelled by them and for the past three years my bank account gets debited with the subscription. I have stopped the debit order at my bank but after the three month period, it just continued again. I know R65 is not a lot of money, but over three years it adds up to a considerable amount of money, My phone calls and e-mails are just being ignored and I do not know how to stop them. My bank tells me a stop payment is only valid for three months. I cannot believe that a house hold Sunday paper can act so indifferently to such a simple request and do believe they should refund the money deducted wrongfully from my bank account.
