I was referred to Time Freight by a friend on the 27th of November 2018. I called them to make arrangements for collection on the 28/11/2018 and they did not come to collect the boxes. I followed up again on the 29th and i was told that the driver would arrive at 16h00 but still no show. at 16h30 i called to inform them that the driver has not yet arrived and they asked if they can reschedule collection for the 30th and i told them no it is not possible as i will be flying back to Johannesburg. When they were doing quotation i asked if i can pay the money upfront and they said no it is not possible as the quote is just an estimate, i then suggested that i pay whatever cost they quote me upfront then the difference i will pay upon collection should the actual figure be higher than what was initially quoted. Still they said no i will have to pay cash at collection. I waited for a call from Time Freight to inform me of the arrival of my boxes but no call came through, so i called them to follow up. When i called i was told that the final amount for the boxes is R2894 if i'm not mistaken, however the goods were returned back to the sender in Cape Town. I asked the lady who is going to receive the boxes in Cape Town since i am in Johannesburg already, she then said i do not know but all i can see on the system is that they were returned and should they send them back again to Johannesburg the price will go up to R5000. I requested to know who gave authorization to return the boxes without calling me first to tell me i must come and collect them because i had been waiting for a call from Time Freight but it never came. All i was told is that a guy by the name of Jason is the one that authorized for the boxes to be returned. On the 03/01/2019 i went to the depo in Isando and still my boxes were not there and i was told to come back on Saturday morning as the boxes will be arriving Friday evening. Friday morning I received a call from Zweli telling me that i must come and collect my boxes however the price is now R8000 but i must just come and speak to the managers maybe they will understand my situation. I then called Time Freight head office and i was given the COO's number to contact as i wanted to lodge a complaint. I spoke with Ryan and he said that he would get back to me as he wants to get to the bottom of the story, that was Friday 04/01/2019, today is Monday and i am being told that i can get the boxes if i am willing to pay the R5000 which i don't have. I told Ryan i have the R2800 that was initially mentioned and I can only pay that amount. Can someone please help me with the regulation body that regulates this industry as i haven't received my boxes
