New cutting program forces customers to buy more than needed.

I have been having the same issue time and time again it takes days to finally get a response on a quote and then I am met with the same problem every time.

I am a qualified Draughtsman by profession and I have also tried countless programs to simplify the cutting process and reducing wastage. I have heard all the excuses about the program knows best, the blade needs to be accounted (for which I allowed double the thickness they require), they can not manually move a piece into the correct position, etc.

I have calculated and drawn out all pieces of a cut list so that all the pieces will fit onto one sheet, then the order from the sales team indicating that I will need 2 sheets purely because the program says so.

To me the fact is that they are blatantly trying to make more money, as they rearrange the pieces so that it purposely causes waste to increase profit.
