Worst service and a terrible meal

I would like to bring it to your attention that our experience yesterday 19th June 2022, at your Century City branch was one of the worst experiences in service and the worst food I have eaten in years. I used to eat and drink at Tigers Milk Century City when I still worked and lived in the area, and I have frequented your other branches in the Long street, Kloof street, Muizenberg, Camps Bay, and Bryanston, so I know what to expect when visiting Tigers Milk.

The manager on duty was purely there to walk customers to their tables, once we were seated it took 15 minutes after I walked into the restaurant to find a waiter. The tables after customers left were left with their plates and glasses on the table around us for over an hour. My son and I ordered our burgers medium and medium-rare. Eventually, when they arrived (unmarked which was prepared which way) when I tried to cut through the patty, my knife would not even go through the patty it was so tough.

Our waiter was practically nonexistent so we again went into the restaurant to request the missing condiments from the one meal, Garlic Aioli but this too took nearly 20 minutes to come to the table and in fact, we received plain garlic. We also asked for Tomato sauce and some chilies, which again arrived when the meal was already finished. We ate the meal because we were hungry at this point and would eat pretty much anything.

Finally, after the meal, we were going to order coffee or a ****tail and asked the waiter or the menu. He dropped off the menu and then after another 15-minute wait and we could not find him, we again went inside and asked for the bill. Our total bill was close to R600 for 3 people.

We noticed several people either sending their food back, or complaining, and one table just left their food and drinks and left the area outside. The front of-house person after close to an hour brought 2 people to a table outside and then by chance picked up the plates and glasses from a table that people had left an hour before, she did not even have the wherewithal to at least wipe it down with a damp cloth before the next potential customers.

I am not a person who would normally complain so my taking the time to write to you is for me an indication of how bad things were. I will not be visiting the Century City branch again and will certainly not recommend it to any friends or colleagues wishing to go there.
