Tire rotation

Tyre rotation not understood by East Rand Mall workshop after verbal explanation and picture shown in users manual. Tyres were not marked for ID before removal. After I observed from a distance that they are not rotating correctly, I intervened. The manageress told me that they use same rotation pattern for front wheel, rear wheel and all wheel drive vehicles. Schocking comment! I was ensured that after the tyre mix up that the tyres were eventually rotated as per my user manual, which I doubt. I was not even offered a discount on the R720 bill after this ***** up. Managing staff as well as workshop staff at this branch need urgent basic training on some tyre relating issues. Manageress, please take note of the rotation that was applicable on my vehicle today below: not your incapable comment of one pattern for all. You need to fami****ize yourself with the rotation pattern for front wheel drive cars as well! Below see my first Google attempt, which concur with my user manual. "Which tire rotation pattern is best? For vehicles that are 4-wheel, all-wheel, or rear-wheel drive, the rearward cross pattern is recommended. Rear tires are moved to the forward axle and kept on the same side of the vehicle while the front tires are moved to opposite sides of the rear axle." Will I recommend your shop to others - a definite NO.

I went on the freeway yesterday for the 1st time after tyre rotation, wheel alignment and balancing. My steering wheel is shaking quite badly at +- 120km/h, front wheels not balanced correctly. I am speechless! TWT Boksburg, this whole experience is not acceptable at all. And this is not an old worn out vehicle. It is a 2019 Fortuner GD6 with 14k on the odo.

Unfortunately we as individuals do not have recording facilities for cellphone conversations. At the end of the day it is "I said this", "no you didn't", and, and, and. Money and business issues - I prefer black on white.

TWT management offered to pay my monies back and to do a re-balancing of all wheels free of charge. At the end of the day I accepted the re-balancing offer to be done at another branch.
The vibration on my vehicle is now non-existent and it feels perfect.
The customer care of TWT can be commended as this was handled professionally and to my satisfaction.
Thank you mr. Richard v Deventer.
