Tiger Wheel and Tyre takes woman driver for a ride

The back wheel of my Mercedes Benz had a puncture. I asked for a quote. I was advised that I had to change both back tyres because of the uneven wear and tear and the quotation was ridiculously high - R11500!! When I asked for a temporary solution I was told that if I didn't change the wheel the gearbox will get damaged and that I stood the risk of a tyre blow-out. <br> I went to Supaquick in Main Road, Sea Point and I got the same brand tyre for less than half the price, with no obligation to replace both back tyres!! <br> Did Jan see a woman and thought that he could exploit me as I may not know much about cars? Or did he see a Mercedes Benz and assumed that I am wealthy? <br> I found the price and advice to be patronising and shameful!
