Stay away from Tiger Wheel & Tyre Durbanville ! Absolutely shocking advise from so-called professionals! I was a regular clients from Tiger Wheel & Tyre Durbanville since their opening. Needless to say, I have spent thousands of rands with them with new tyres on my vehicles. On their advice, I fitted 4 new Continental tyres on my Range Rover last year. Now, just more than 20 000 km's later, I need to replace the tyres. 2 days after they fitted the Continentals, that now needs to be replaced, I went back to the store and spoke to the Assistant Manager, Francois Kirsten. I told him that I am not happy with the tyres and that it seems they are wearing off on the outside rather fast. He told me not to worry as I have the Continental Insurance / Cover and it will be covered if anything goes wrong. I have done the alignments and rotations as per the Continental Insurance Cover stipulations. Every time I went in to the store for the rotations and alignments, I told the Assistant Manager about the tyres wearing off faster on the outside. A few weeks ago, my Range Rover was at Land Rover for a service and I was told that the tyres needs urgent replacement. Asked how many km's I have done with the current tyres, I told the 20 000 km's. Land Rover said that this was not normal and I must bring it to the attention of Tiger Wheel & Tyre (which I did). Francois Kirsten sent me to Continental's Regional office in Epping for a test on the tyres. Again, I had to take time off work to try and resolve my issues with the tyres. Siya (from Continental) told me that I have a very valid case as the tyres are NOT doing what they are supposed to be doing. He took pictures and presented a report in which he made recommendations saying that they client has a valid case. Before I went to Continental's Regional Office, Francois Kirsten from Tiger Wheel & Tyre Durbanville, admitted that there is something very wrong with the tyres and that I "should not worry as he will ensure they will after me". I even got anothet report on the tyres from Tyres & More in Brackenfell. Thus, 3 specialists saying that there is a problem and that I should get much much more km's than the only 20 000 or so it currently has done. What a joke when I received a call from Francois stating that the report from Continental was there is nothing wrong with the tyres and that it needs replacing. They recon the tyres did what it was supposed to do. If I new that I have to pay nearly R 20k for 4 tyres that only does 20 000 km's, I would have never fitted them at all ! Furthermore, I contacted Francois (at Tiger Wheel & Tyre) twice by phone and I even went the their office requesting a call from a senior person, but to date, absolutely nothing from Tiger Wheel & Tyre. Not supprised taking into consideration thet are very quick to take my money, but nothing else. Absolutely disgusting service! I feel betrayed and that you "stole" from me. Just 2 days before I took my Range Rover in to your branch to have this issue resolved, I brought my wife's new Mercedes in for a leaking tyre. Needless to say, they again got thousands out of me as I left with 2 newly fitted Continentals on our car. Why? Because I trusted their advise. Please people, be very careful when dealing with Tiger Wheel & Tyre. They truly do not care about their clients. They are just chasing money!
