new tyre burst

Good day

I bought 2 new yokohoma tyres from tiger wheel and tyre at Centurion lifestyle centre in January 2017 for my Ford Eco sport. After two months and less than 3000km the one tyre burst. The tyre got two burst marks. The one mark which happened after hitting the pavement after the car swirl across the road. Surely a brand new tyre which I can confirm didn't go through a pothole must be a manufacturing defect? The assistance I got is that I must have gone through a pothole. They said there is nothing they can do for me I need to buy a need tyre as I got no insurance of the tyre. They can only help me with a good price on a new tyre. As I don't want to take a chance I replace the old tyre and gave me a new tyre. Even a good price it was still R2000. Surely there must be a way that an expert could have examined it to check it could have been a potentially a manufacturing defect than a sales rep? I really feel that I am ********** by this.

Thank you Ian for calling me back so quickly. Appreciate it. I will wait for the full report from Yokohoma to see what they are saying. Thanks

Why do I have to contact Yokohama and get feedback on this matter??? It is afterall almost 3 months now! Well I did contact them and got the feedback from them. SurelyTiger Wheel and Tyre would have contact me as they have promised me they would have. Poor service !!-I consider the case close now
