DISGUSTING SERVICE AND NO REGARD FOR CLIENTS SAFETY

On 08 December 2017, I went to Tigerweheel and Tyre in Durban Rd, Bellville, to have my one front tyre checked out. When I arrived, I explained that I only have a problem with the one tyre but was advised I must replace all four.

I then indicated to the salesman (Gerhard Van Der Schyff)that he can quote me and then I will return the afternoon to do the purchase and replacement. He (salesman) then quoted me for four Continental Tyres , wheel balancing etc.

I then returned the afternoon to do the purchase and whilst I was doing the payments the technicians were busy replacing the tyres. Gerhard then took me out to the workshop and told me he replaced the Continental Tyres with Hankook which were according to him ''a better quality''. I had my doubts and ask some of the guys in the workshop also about the tyres, them and the Garhard assured me that its good quality. Seeing that I know nothing about tyres, i just assumed that they would not take me for a ride.

Yesterday, 27th February 2018, I went to Tigerwheel & tyre and told them that my one tyre is flat and that they need to check it out. I was then advised by the manager that I will have to buy a new one. I explained to him that I can afford to buy a new one 2 and a half months after I just purchased the tyre. He then asked me why I did not take insurance out on it. I explained that it was never given to me as an option and that I only saw on the invoice that the ''customer declined insurance'' . I was never told about insurance by the salesman or given the opportunity to take out one. Their excuse was its because my tyres were purchased on a fleet card, which makes no sense because I wouldnt have mind paying for it cash. The fact that I was quoted for Continental tyres and then without prior consulting, the salesman out of his own replaced it with Hankook. I have never had this kinda issue with my previous tyres. The quality of the tyres are obviously not as good as the Continental.

I feel utterly disgusted at the whole branch, the manager's service was pathetic. He refused to replace my tyre and gave me an old worn out tyre which is hazardous on the road. He has no regard for the safety of his clients.

I am very unhappy and would like all my tyres to be replaced with Continental tyres or get a full refund.

I have both my quote and invoice as proof. This is disgusting and I will never in future do business with you AGAIN!!!!
