Dangerous experience at the Corlett Drive Tiger Wheel and Tyre

<p>I went to the Corlett Drive Tiger Wheel and Tyre on Monday the 25th of May 2016, for a simple realignment and re-balancing for my tyres. Initially the service was great and they got my car into the work shop quickly however after 40mins I was informed and shown a nail in one of my tyres. I asked if they could plug the tyre and the answer was a quick no. I was then told I would have to replace both my front wheels at a cost of R5000. I was then told I would have to wait another 40mins so I left to go back to work. Not feeling convinced that I couldn't plug my tyre I called a friend who has worked at BMW for 30years and was told that I could plug the tyre at a fraction of the cost, R80. I rushed back to Tiger Wheel and Tyre as neither the manager or the Assistant Manager, Dave called me back. I then talked to the Manger, who still said I couldn't plug the tyre, however not willing to pay the unnecessary R5000 I asked them to put the old tyres back on and plug the hole and I would take it to the BMW where I bought my car. Once I reached Fourways my friend took my car to Tiger Wheel Fourways they found that Tiger Wheel Corlett Drive had unsafely replaced the nail so they plug the tyre at no charge. I further took my car to be re-aligned at Tiger Wheel Randburg, I wait 25mins and was very happy with the service. I would like to thank the branches that helped me fix a really awful, dangerous experience at the Corlett Drive branch. I will never be back after finding out that plugging my tyre was safe and replacing my tyres completely unnecessary. </p>
