Buyers beware Tiger Pillay - alarm installer

On 2 December 2014, Tiger Pillay (Cell ***) came to our house in Salt Rock to give us a quote to install an outside alarm system to compliment our existing inside alarm.<br> He quoted R18,400.00 on a written quotation and promised that if we deposited R13,900.00 on the same day, he would be back to do the installation on the Monday.<br> He arrived with some cable, but disappeared shortly afterwards and then phoned me to say he needed an extra R2000.00 to buy the hardware for the installation (ie remotes, eyes etc).<br> He has never done the job and never returned.<br> I have made numerous calls to him only to be told that either his grandson was sick, or his father is sick, or it's raining (when it's not raining) and the list of excuses goes on and on.<br> I have threatened to report him to the police if he does not come and do the installation or pay my money back. It's been 2 months already and I would advise anyone NOT to do business with this man.<br>
