Tiger Brands - sending tigers to feed on our health system; Taystee “Sandy” Wheat

I bought the Taystee Wheet 1 kg packet at Checkers with a manufacturing date of 6/04/22 and with the best before date of 06/01/2023. The cereal has particles that are crunchy like sand when cooked and can be felt when stirring in the pot and also when chewing, leaving a bitter, yukky and shady crunch taste not expected on the smooth semolina cereal. I could not even finish the serving as I was not sure whether it’s healthy to continue consuming such.

I have been eating them his cereal for years and it is the first time to have such an experience. Can I be assisted on this? I am prepared to send a sample of so required and also I would not want to spend money on something I cannot consume.

I wrote to the Tiger Brands the same comments as above and I was asked for further details in respect of cost and where specifically I bought the item, a week later I have not even received a call. It is disturbing that this may have posed a health hazard however there’s no sense of urgency in attending to the matter. Is this how consumers are supposed to be handled, especially on food matters! I expected a better response from this food manufacturer!
