Spoilt Purity 8 month Food

I am VERY VERY DISGUSTED by the manner in which Tiger Brands conducts their business. On Tuesday the 24th June I sent a mail to their customer services regarding a Purity 8 month food that I purchased that was off. They asked for my details and detailed information regarding the product and pictures as well. I sent all of this via mail and my complaint was sent to the relevant department with reference TB***. Firstly maybe my mistake was informing Tiger Brands that I didn’t take my daughter for a medical examination because I had no funds, however my daughter did get diarrhoea from their product and I even attached a picture of my 8 month old daughters bum to show the kind of damage the diarrhoea caused. I did not in any way put them under duress or address them in a disrespectful manner. But my daughter consuming this product could have caused her more harm. The nerve of Tiger Brands to send me a R100 discount voucher to use at Shoprite/Checkers to redeem against a purchase of more than R100.

Where did you take accountability? Where did you acknowledge the fault in your product. Is this how you deal with customer complaints? You throw change at people and expect them to keep quiet. What about other kids you putting at risk? You haven’t told me which steps you gonna take to ensure that other kids don’t suffer like my daughter did or even worse. Did you recall this batch and take it back? You did not do that, it is still on the shelves for other parents to buy and have the same problem or worse. And I’m saying this because I went to another retailer today and saw the same spoilt food still on the shelve. Why are you not taking accountability? Why are you putting other kids at risk? Your product could have done great damage to my child and a lousy R100 discount voucher is sent for me to do what with it? Is this how you conduct your business? This is pure *******. I wasn’t gonna go this route but your lack of accountability grinds me. I told you to come collect this defaulted product from my house, I said this so you could see what I am talking about but to date a collection hasn’t been booked. Must a child die before you take people seriously?
