NO CREAM IN CREAM-STYLE SWEETCORN

I planned a lunch for a few friends and family and was planning to make squash filled with sweetcorn. So I bough 6 cans just to be on the safe side. Upon opening the cans i noticed water on top , looked like when you open processed peas. I thought that I bought the wrong cans. Only to find it was some whole kernels mixed with smashed kernels. Where was the cream-style sweetcorn as indicated on the can. Needless to say all 6 cans had to be thrown away expiry date 16.02.2022. MOST EMBARRASSING
