Moldy Albany Bread "2 Day before Expiration Date"

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent purchase of Albany Bread, a product under the Tiger Brands Group, which I made on 10th March 2024 at Checkers, Mall of Africa, Johannesburg.

I purchased a loaf of Albany Bread with an expiration date of 13th March 2024. However, to my dismay, upon opening the package on 11th March 2024, I discovered that the bread was already moldy. This was incredibly disappointing as the product did not even last a day off the shelf.

I understand that environmental factors such as heat can contribute to the spoilage of bread, and it has indeed been exceptionally hot in our region lately. However, I believe that a product with such a short shelf life, especially considering the expiration date provided, is unacceptable.

Attached to this email, I have included pictures clearly showing the mold on the bread as proof of my claim.

As a loyal customer of Albany Bread, I expect a certain level of quality and reliability from your products. Unfortunately, this experience has left me feeling let down and dissatisfied.

I kindly request that you address this matter promptly and provide me with a suitable resolution. This could include a refund or replacement of the product, as well as an assurance that steps will be taken to prevent similar issues in the future.
