Maynard Wine Gums Hoax Customer Care

I have purchased a packet of inferior quality Maynards Wine Gums. When i sent through a customer complaint- no feedback was received. All iwas told was that i need to send through all of the purchased products details and they will revert.. to date- nothing. My wife is asking me what am trying to get out of a complaint for a packet of sweets? The answer is simple, I require 2 things: 1) As a juggernaut company like this, surely their quality control procedures should be more stringent? If something like this has fallen through the cracks- they should be made aware. 2) I may be a basic consumer for a multi billion rand institution like this, however, a basic consumer as myself who purchases a packet of sweets regularly is the reason they are where they are. All I want is some sort of acknowledgement. A company as big as this should have a Customer Care Department as advertised and their duty should be to do exactly what it says- "care for customers". Yet, this has proven to be a hoax as their has been nothing tangible from their side. All it is is a false perception to let people think that they care about you whereas back at the ranch- these complaints are swept under the carpet.
