TIC - Worst travel insurance you can purchase - they’re a ****

Our December overseas holiday had to be cancelled due to the unexpected death of a family member just days before take-off. I immediately informed TIC and on an automated website they requested I send an enormous amount of documents and medical reports that are not even standard in the country I live in within a 7-day deadline for them to consider the claim. They rejected some of the documents and insisted on more reports in a specific format which the hospital and government departments didn’t know anything about. Different agents would bombard me with emails requesting this and that. I submitted everything possible and from that day I have never heard from them again, other than automated email reply that “your claim is being assessed”. It’s been almost 3 months now and I will NEVER use the services of Travel Insurance Consultants (TIC) again. There are other more affordable and recognized travel insurances online and I have actually booked a trip soon using HeyMondo travel insurance after reading their reviews first. TIC lack the personalized service you would expect in situations such as mine and then totally disrespect their clients by going silent, making me think that I’ve been ****med by them.
