Read the fine print
I submitted a claim on the 10th of January2018. I followed up to see if they had everything they required to process the claim, everything was fine and would pay out the following week. I received some money but only received about 20 % of what was clamed for. I called in again and found out that to log claims for each traveler separately. I also found out that any travel delay is not covered due to these few words. "This excludes prepaid accommodation and travel expenses." So if you pre pay your all inclusive 5* holiday and you are delayed by the airline for 24hrs and its not your fault you basically no have claim against your insurance and your R10k per day you pre paid is gone. Also worth mentioning, if you are traveling on a multi leg journey and your bags are lost or delayed this company only covers you for one loss or delay. You will have to constantly chase these people as nobody comes back to you as promised. FNB offers this service to their customers and my advice would be to take out your own proper travel insurance as TIC is sub standard in my opinion and based on other reviews that I have now read. If you are reading this then you probably are have a similar problem and all I can do is wish you luck sorting it out.
