Hollard Travel Insurance - At your Peril

On Saturday 4th of December I flew to Entebbe on Uganda Airlines (UR711) for the first Time. On arrival at Entebbe my luggage together with about 50 other passengers did not receive our check in luggage. DAS Handling at Entebbe advised us that our luggage was left behind in Johannesburg and that we would receive it the following day. This did not happen, in fact I had to fetch my luggage from Uganda Airlines Town office on Wednesday 5th. As I was on a business trip I had to buy toiletries and clothing. On collection a feeble apology was rendered but no offer of reimbursing me for my expenses was made. I subsequently lodged a claim which simply been ignored. Fortunately now there are more airlines flying to to Uganda so now I have a choice. I was insured by Hollard travel insurance, they simply fobbed off my claim and referred me back to the airline. So bottom line both vendors simply shirked their responsibility and were happy to take my fees.
