Consistently excellent

There's not much worse than coming home to loadshedding, especially when hungry after a long busy Monday. Fortunately for us, we are not too far from Thyme on Nicol. <br> <br> With the convenience of many places to eat in close proximity to home, we always seem to choose Thyme on Nicol for obvious reasons, great food, made by great people and served by what I think is quite possibly the friendliest staff compliment ever.<br> <br> Whether we get take out or sit down, the staff is always extremely friendly. <br> <br> Tonight though, after having our usual sushi starter, I decided to try something different, the chicken quesadilla. After cutting into it, I realized the chicken was undercooked and highlighted this to my waiter. He quickly apologized and offered me something else. Within 2 minutes, the cook (Badimo I think was his name) came to apologise, then the manager came to do the same, and all completely sincere. They insisted I have an alternative meal (on the house) even though I said it was not necessary. The replacement soup I chose was absolutely outstanding, the food here is simply amazing.<br> <br> Tonight was a reminder of why I am a regular here and will continue to be. Excellence personified!!
