Lack of hygiene and cleanliness

I'm currently staying at the Three Cities Royal Palm Hotel in Umhlanga and I came here with my partner to enjoy this wonderful city along with great 4star accommodation quality that I paid R6800 for. 1st day of my arrival I was disappointed to find old burnt carpet in my room. Dirty bathtub with hair strands, then I discovered the poor quality, worn out bathroom towels and torn bathroom mat. Thought it was a once off but 2 days later I come back in the evening to \recycled\" towels that clearly have not been washed properly I had to request clean ones and soon after that 2 enormous ****roaches come dashing into the bathroom. Never in my life have I complained about towels or hygiene in a hotel. This past December I stayed at Holiday Inn Express in Umhlanga and everything was perfect and it's only a 3 Star Hotel. I truly believe Umhlanga Royal Palm is overestimating itself by saying its a 4 Star hotel, please checkout Holiday Inn for proper 4 Star quality rooms. The quality of the hotel is extremely poor, but I must compliment the restaurant staff, having breakfast there in the morning is amazing thanks to their friendliness. Housekeeping is disappointing. Never coming back here!!"
