Thor Electrical and Aircon

I had a electrical surge on a Sunday 13/06 and I found them on the internet. Work done: 1. Installed breakers not needed. 2. Used second hand breakers and charged for new ones. 3. Made changes on DB board to run through the extra breakers that could have caused problems/hazard/fire. Just to get of site as quickly as possible and make money. 4. Issue not resolved told me they can't do anything else as they only attend to emergencies.

Event in detail: Called them to come and help with electrical surge as my power kept on tripping. They told me that there is no call out fee and they charge for every change/fix they make.

They spend 2 hours trying to locate the issue with no success. They then made dangerous connections and bypasses just so that the electricity does not trip. with half the house still without power. They then said they don't know what else to do and someone else needs to come and do further fault finding. I found this very strange and queried the invoice and billing for fault finding as it was not found nor fixed. Needless to say I had to get someone else (Not from his company or collogues as he suggested) and they found the problem and showed me the mess Thor electric made also the dangerous connections and extra breakers that was not needed.

I phoned the electrician and it got heated as I told him they installed breakers that was not necessary and the connections he did through the breakers was dangerous. He then told me there was no electricity being run through the breakers and I ask then why did he install and charge me. He could not answer me and started to make excuses and just **** himself into a corner. He then said he will pay back my money after redoing his invoice but now he will charge me for hours spend at my house. Just adding that he did not fix anything so he just wasted time here.

I also told him the breakers are old and one can easily see it has been used previously. He denies this and says he stays on a farm and things get dirty. Don't' believe him for a second after the work he has done and extra charges for nothing.

He said I must send my bank details and he will refund me the difference that has not happened yet from his side.
