Disgust in Thibani Lodge

Disgust in Thibani Lodge

I am deeply disappointed with Thibani Lodge as we wanted to spend the long weekend there as a family but struggled to contact them by phoning the Lodge.

We then decided to go through for a day visit; as we arrived we went to the office in order to get details on prices and found tempts who could not relay any information other than telling us they're only tempts. Later we went back to find a price per night and wanted to book two, two bed chalet's. To our surprise their two bed chalet's consists of one double bed and a table. This information was incorrectly conveyed over to us. We then booked a six bed chalet. Once we went into the chalet; this was much later the afternoon we found a terrifying dirty place. The floors were not clean, bath was not washed and we also suspect that the bedding was not up to standard. When I went to the kiosk to purchase dishwashing liquid I was then informed by the manager that we are to use salt as a cleaning material.

If one is to MANAGE or own a Resort you are at all times suppose to keep the chalet's clean and up to standard with regards to the Health Board and Resort policies. In line with all this the swimming area and swimming pools were of a disgusting state, both main swimming pools had algae and slime in the pools. Swimming pools that are not kept up to any health standards required by the Health Board is a hazardous health risk to all that participants in using these facilities.

I also notice that a Put-Put cause that is advertised on their web-page is not that which is portrait in viewing the real deal. Their web page that advertises the so-called wonderful getaway to the North is not that which one would expect. I spoke to several other guests at the surrounding chalets and was informed of their disgust in the up keep of the Lodge. In the day and a half that we were there I noticed no cleaners or garden services in action not to mention any rules concerning late night partying or drinking.

I therefore recommend that one should THINK TWICE before visiting this Lodge.
