Buyer beware: job not done, deposit not refunded

<p>We contracted Thermamasta to cover a residential roof and paid a substantial deposit. After the team never showed up several times as scheduled, the ops director, Dawie de Jager, said they would not manage to do the job and offered to refund the deposit. We agreed. </p> <p>Then it went even more pear-shaped. </p> <p>Several times, Dawie told us the money had been paid. Always, it never arrived. Always, there was another reason or excuse. This played out over more than a month. </p> <p>After escalating the matter, Dawie made a further undertaking to pay by 28 Dec 2016. Predictably, it wasn't met, hence this review. </p> <p>Be careful - you have been warned. </p> <p>I'll continue to update this review as the saga unfolds. </p>
