I am submitting this complaint after a very frightening experience involving a ThembaAgri truck on the N1 towards Pretoria.

The driver of this truck cut in front of my vehicle without warning and nearly caused a serious accident. I was driving with my children, and in that moment I truly thought we were going to be hit. The near-miss left me shaken and traumatised, and my children were terrified. No parent should have to fear for their children’s lives because of someone else’s reckless behaviour on the road.

What made this even more upsetting was what happened afterwards. When I called the company to report the incident, hoping they would take the matter seriously, I was met with rudeness and a complete lack of concern from the office staff. Instead of empathy or accountability, I felt dismissed, as if the danger we were put in did not matter.

This incident has stayed with me, and I cannot simply ignore it. Reckless driving by heavy vehicles can cost lives, and the way this situation was handled shows a worrying lack of responsibility. I am reporting this so that this driver’s behaviour is addressed and so that no other family has to experience the fear that my children and I went through.
