Garth Bock & Hilmarie Theron Bock

Home/business owners be warned of Garth Bock and Hilmarie Bock (Themba General Supplies & Services). The company is VAT and NHBRC registered, but don’t let that fool you. They might also operate under the name "Bockgroup". They are completely unreliable and *************!

Originally it was Hilmarie Theron's ex husband's company Graham Theron (Upington) and now Hilmarie Bock who is actually a hairstylist (Hillaz Creations) is using this name to do building construction in and around the surroundings of George.

After receiving the deposit the excuses and lies started. They were supposedly waiting for the NHBRC certificate before they can start. Eventually we phoned the NHBRC and the certificate was issued a month ago. The first day that construction was going to start, their vehicle supposedly broke down on the way. The photo’s we received before 8am was of the vehicle standing inside the workshop already. Garth Bock said they don't have money to fix and for a few months that was the excuse why they cannot start building. Eventually they started with the foundations and then Garth Bock requested another payment (mid September 2021) to order the material in advance for the next phase. After payment was done they stopped showing up (again), ignoring messages and not answering calls for weeks. Garth's estimate to complete the 6x9m structure was 6-8weeks, but in a duration of almost six months a total of 2weeks work has been completed.

The material paid for in September is still not delivered more than 5 months later. I phoned the building supplier and they confirmed Garth Bock never ordered the material. They also cannot return the money, because they have probably spend it. A case of theft has been opened. The NHBRC has flagged the company and is currently under investigation.
