The Volkswagen Guy

I want to share my personal experience dealing with (“The Volkswagen Guy”) to warn others to be cautious. I contacted him on Facebook in 2020 to complete a vehicle project. He made strong promises about delivering a professional, high-quality result, and based on his previous work I trusted him. Initially things went well, but soon delays and excuses began. I made multiple payments to cover the work, but the project was never completed. During this time my vehicle was moved between locations and left exposed to the elements. Eventually he claimed the project was too difficult and blamed me. After numerous letters and WhatsApp messages, he promised to fix everything at his own cost, but later sent me a demand for additional payment for work that had already been paid for. My vehicle remains unfinished and is currently being held by the property owner where he rented space, who is refusing to release it due to debts owed by Kobus. I considered legal action but decided against it due to the cost and circumstances. I am sharing this experience simply to caution anyone considering doing business with him — please do your research and proceed carefully.
