Vermaak's Kitchen not to be trusted with money!!! Deal with them COD only, if at all!!!

Whatever you do, don't give them any money in advance. I paid them for two lambs over 5 months ago and all they do is come up with excuses why they can't deliver or promise a delivery date which they don't make good on. I'm fed up with them. They are 100% not to be trusted. I should have listened to my gut at the time. I get the feeling there is a lot of borrowing from Peter to pay Paul here. If I ever do business with them again, it'll be COD only!! They have ripped me off- don't let it happen to you!!

Reviewer Update
This is simply a follow-up to my previous review of Vermaak's, which was on 7 November. It is now a month later and 6 months since I paid them R2,500 for 2 lambs. Natalie Vermaak does communicate, but her promises seem to be hollow. As I have mentioned before, I believe that there was no intention to deliver on the goods from the beginning. No sooner had Steve dropped off one lamb, did he phone and message within hours, saying that he could offer us a deal on two lambs for considerably less for each, than we paid for the last one. He said we must pay quickly, since there were only a limited number left. I had a gut feeling that something wasn't right, but I went with it anyway, since we had purchased from them twice before. His approach and tone was different this time, so I should have backed away. Well, I am waiting for a refund. So far, promises, promises, but no refund or lamb!!! These are people to be dealt with on a COD basis only. They may have had troubles in their lives, but their troubles are not my troubles and everything points to intentional misappropriation of funds. If I get a refund, it will be a big relief, but I'm not holding my breath!
