Worse Experience in time grieve

I am using this platform to complain about no service received from Unlimited, my cousin Mrs EM Mc Clean policy RMD*** having this policy since June 2017 and religiously made payment every month thinking that should she one day die the remaining family will have peace of mind instead we having more stress now than anything else. Mrs Mc Clean pass on Fri 05 February and we reported the matter with the Insurance, they requested standard documents which we provided, only to find on Tuesday we are being advised that there is an additional document needed to be completed by either the hospital or the local clinic, they also advised us that the claim takes 5 to 7 working days to be processed, I am utterly discussed by service the family is receiving during this time of need where help is really needed this company is there for us, we require this matter to be urgently resolved because we would like to lay our loved one to rest and futher delay the burial as this is already a traumatic experience and to have this lack of service adding on to the family's pain when we already going through so much during this trying time, i'm hoping to get this resolved soon as we keep making contact with the person to represent this company, I spoke an agent in the claims department 10 February @ 15:00 after 5 attempts by name of Nthabiseng Mtabane who were so insensitive and could not assist me upon asking to speak to her manager Nandipha Luvuno who bluntly refused to speak to me advising they have millions of clients to attend to and cannot give each client the attention they require, our loved one need to be put to rest by Saturday however this Company is not treating us like we begging for handouts and not claiming what we paid for. I am utterly disgusted in the manner in which we being treated, all I ask is for someone contact me urgently to resolve this matter so we can give the respect and dignity the deceased deserves by having the funeral Saturday 13 February as planned, or for that matter that any other person in our situation deserve, nobody ask for Covid 19it came and effected us all and, and we suppose to be in this together, however it seems like this Company feels that they above the rest and immune to this virus which is currently effecting the world

Hi Lorwayna,

Thank you for taking our call today. Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your loved one. We sincerely apologise for the long and painful process that you've had to go through in your time of need. Our main purpose is to be there for the members of our family and it saddens us that your experience has been the opposite of what we strive to achieve. We'd truly love an opportunity to make things right with you to ensure that you're supported and cared for. As explained over the phone, we can only finalize your claim as soon as we've received the outstanding documents.

Your apologies at this point means nothing, we suppose to have a burial tomorrow how do you plan on fixing this, we are still in distress due to your lack of service from your company, of which we not the first or the only family suffering as a lack of no service from your Company,
please advise how do we lay my cousin to rest tomorrow when your company does not care.

We have absolutely no confidence in your company, you ****** us from grieving a loved one by causing more stress and pain, I cannot see how your company can fix this mess as we need to have a funeral tomorrow and still sitting without money, this is hurting.

We have submitted a certified copy of the death certificate, certified copy of the deceased ID, a certified copy of the report from the hospital wherein they confirmed that my cousin died of Covid 19, the only outstanding is the document you sent us on Tuesday we need get completed by the Hospital on her life long history and for that reason you cannot process the claim, is the certified copy of the death certificate, certified copy of the deceased ID, a certified copy of the B1663 report from the hospital wherein they confirmed that my cousin died of Covid 19 not enough proof that she is dead and reason to process the claim.

The policy was sold telephonically I hereby request for the recording to be made available just to understand if it was mentioned that your life long hospital history is a requirement in order to process the death claim, as it seems that the B1663 form certified by the hospital does not carry any weight.

We are still a broken family standing with our back against the wall having to bury my cousin Mrs Elizabeth Mc Clean on Saturday 13 February 2021 having no funds to do so while your company still remain insensitive, you extended your sincere condolences which means nothing, because at this point we don't need your condolences but the service you proudly promised when your sold this policy.
Only way we can fix this is if you do as promised and allow us to bury my cousin in dignity tomorrow as she was a dignified woman who honoured her commitment by providing payment in respect of her policy every month without fail throughout the Covid 19 Lockdown period where the world suffered great financial difficulties she remained loyal to her word.

It is time now that you show your Company to honour your word.
